Area Manager - Austin
This is a gritty role tailored for someone who has solid business internship experience and is interested in gaining operator experience and entrenching themselves deeply into a startup with the long-term opportunity to move into other areas like Sales, Marketing, Product Strategy, etc.
We are seeking a self-motivated Area Manager to expand our customer base in the Austin-San Antonio metro area. This role is a fit for someone who has demonstrated through internship or recent work experience that they are "Type-A", smart, driven, and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
Our client is a fast-growing, well-funded, Tech-Enabled Business to Consumer Services (B2C) company headquartered here in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of local, in-person marketing efforts to drive new service subscriptions via B2B2C and partnerships. (real estate groups, HOAs, property managers, and community events, etc)
- Host or attend events such as breakfasts, lunches, or presentations to promote company services
- Experiment with and iterate on grassroots marketing tactics to find what works.
- Track performance, learn from results, and share insights with the broader team.
Requirements
- Internship in Business and startups - Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive/interest.
- Naturally outgoing and confident, and engaging with new people in person.
- Comfortable working independently and figuring things out on the fly.
- Resourceful, proactive, and motivated to hit ambitious goals.
- Grit and resilience- able to handle rejection, stay positive, and keep pushing for ever-improving results.
Salary and Commission:
40K Annual Base + commission, with typical total compensation as follows:
- Baseline expectation: $5,000/month — consistent performance below this level likely means the role isn't the right fit
- Target goal: $8,333/month
- Stretch goal: $10,983/month or more
- Uncapped commission — the more you bring in, the more you earn
