Senior Manager, FP&A - SaaS

Boston, MA

This is a 100% remote role based anywhere in the US with a slight preference in EST or CST.

Our client, a profitable $ 25M private equity-backed SaaS Software company, is looking for a Senior Manager, FP&A, to be a critical part of the team leading them through the separation of one business into two standalone companies.

Reporting to the CFO, this is a heavy individual contributor role with the opportunity to be in the driver's seat of building a new platform and a new standalone company. The attraction for this role is that they are well capitalized, exiting within the next few years, and you will have significant visibility both to the leadership team as well as working with the Private Equity Deal Team towards that end.

Responsibilities

  • Lead P&L reporting and forecasting processes (monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range plans) with a high degree of accuracy and transparency
  • Build out future state models and a pro forma view of what 2026 looks like post-separation, along with standalone P&L and cash flow.
  • Help define the standalone company’s long-term strategy and key metrics/KPIs for success.
  • Own total booking, revenue, and billing forecasts and related analyses, providing visibility and helping to define key topline metrics in partnership with Sales Ops, Marketing, and the broader Executive team
  • Build and enhance robust financial models through a strategic lens to highlight trends and assess current and future business risks and opportunities
  • Lead the implementation of Adaptive Insights
  • 13 Week Cashflow Forecasting
  • Board Reporting and associated PowerPoint presentations
  • Prepare and present analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management to support critical decisions for the company
  • Drive results and effectively manage various cost inputs
  • Drive process improvements and provide ad-hoc analyses to support the company’s rapid growth

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years in FP&A with emphasis on forecasting, financial analysis, and modeling
  • Prior high-growth SAAS experience is a must-have. Knowledge of Tech / SaaS metrics.
  • Prefer experience with VC / PE-backed portfolio companies. Preferably small to medium businesses that are fast-paced and constantly changing.
  • Background in banking, consulting, or due diligence/advisory earlier in your career is a plus
  • Excellent PowerPoint / Presentation skills. Ability to build polished decks.
  • Excellent communicator and someone that people enjoy working with.
  • Ability to be both strategic and tactical
  • Track record of influencing leadership decisions through clear communication of complex data analysis
  • Autonomous Excellence: Experience thinking strategically about complex business problems, leading to recommendations and action plans
