VP, FP&A - Network Infrastructure / Security Software (On-Prem)

This is a 100% remote role based anywhere in the United States.
Our client, a fast-growing, Private Equity-backed Network Infrastructure / Security Software company looking for a VP / Head of FP&A.
The company:
- 9-12 months from a successful exit. Pitches are complete, and they are monitoring performance.
- 500+ employees
- 200+M in Revenue with "low teens" historical growth
- Very sticky customer base (mid-90% retention)
- Profitable with "mid 30's" EBITDA
- Has acquired multiple companies over the last few years.
You will come in at the start of the transaction process and support the company through the sale. The company's business is complex, and there will be a very steep learning curve with limited time to get up to speed, so we are looking for someone who can come in and understand the nuances of working with on-prem revenue / ASC606 and how that impacts forecasting. There is a strong existing accounting support function that will work closely with the FP&A function.
Responsibilities
- Support the company through a successful sale/transaction over the next 9-12 months, interfacing with the PE Sponsor as well as the buyer.
- Quickly gain a deep understanding of the business - Forecasting, Sales Cycles (9+ months), Revenue Recognition (ASC 606), Customer Expectations, Operational Complexities.
- Integration of 3 acquisitions and their data/platforms over the last few years.
- Lead P&L reporting and forecasting processes (monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range plans) with a high degree of accuracy and transparency
- Build and maintain and present robust financial models and systems to support scenario planning, decision-making, and provide visibility into key metrics and relevant KPIs
- Manage a team of ~15.
Qualifications
- 15+ years in FP&A / Leadership with an emphasis on forecasting, financial analysis, and modeling
- Experience working at other equivalent Network Infrastructure / Security Software companies. This industry background, along with familiarity with FP&A within on-prem solutions companies, is critical.
- Experience in an equivalent scaled organization (500+ employees, 200M+ Revenue)
- Experience working under other Private Equity Sponsors - M&A / Transaction, Capital Raising background.
- Background in banking, consulting, or due diligence/advisory earlier in your career is a plus
- Track record of influencing leadership decisions through clear communication of complex data analysis
- Experience thinking strategically about complex business problems, leading to recommendations and action plans
